CHEM 460 - Biochemistry Laboratory

Credit Hours: 1

Corequisite: CHEM 409  OR CHEM 410  

Students will use common biochemistry techniques to synthesize, manipulate and characterize biochemical molecules. Students will gain first-hand experience with protein isolation, DNA isolation, DNA manipulation, protein characterization, and enzyme kinetics.

Requirements/Required: Required of all chemistry majors completing the biochemistry specialization or the clinical chemistry specialization and recommended for students wishing to complete a pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-pharmacy, or pre-veterinarian curriculum.
