APHI 610 - Environmental History Credit Hours: 3
In this course, students will explore changing interactions between human society and the natural world. Questions to be considered include: how people have historically shaped the environment around them, and how they have been shaped by it; how and why attitudes toward the environment and natural resources have changed; and how technological changes have altered relationships between humans and the natural world. The course will also explore the meaning of sustainability in historical contexts.
