Admission Requirements
Requirements for admission to the program conform to the general regulations of The Citadel Graduate College (CGC) and the accreditation standards of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Admission decisions are based on a holistic review of previous scholastic performance, professional experience, and professional recommendations. An undergraduate degree in business is not a requirement for admission. Applicants can be admitted to begin Fall, Spring, or Summer semester.
Provisional Admission: Applicants may be admitted provisionally if their GPA does not meet the minimum standard for admission. Students admitted provisionally are initially limited to two courses, one per 8 week term, and must receive a grade of “B” or better in each course to continue in the MBA program.
Applications to the MBA Program are accepted on a continual basis. Admitted Students may begin the program in any Fall, Spring, or Summer session. Applicants are encouraged to submit all materials as early as possible prior to the term in which they plan to begin. All material must be submitted to the Citadel Graduate College.
- Completion of the online graduate application along with the non-refundable application fee.
- Official transcripts from the undergraduate institution conferring the applicant’s bachelor degree and transcripts from all postgraduate institutions attended. Applicants are asked to provide documentation of an earned degree from an accredited institution with a competitive grade point average. A degree in business is not required for admission.
- Submission of a resume detailing previous work experience.
- Submission of two letters of recommendation from someone familiar with your academic and/or professional work. Professors, supervisors, and military personnel are acceptable references.
