CHEM 151 - General Chemistry I

An introduction to the principles and laws of chemistry. This is the first course in a 2-course sequence intended for science, mathematics and engineering (STEM) students. Topics include problem-solving techniques, the relationship between structure and properties, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, states of matter, thermochemistry, and bonding.

Required of all students majoring in the sciences and engineering; the chemistry option for Mathematics Majors or Computer Science Majors; elective to others. Chemistry majors must have a grade of C or higher.
