ECON 330 - Current Economic Controversies Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisites: ECON 201 or PSCI 351 Course Description: Learn about controversial economic issues that dominate today’s news and social conversations. Students help select the topics from contemporary issues such as globalization, international trade, pollution, taxes, minimum wage, social security, immigration, national debt, college costs, health care, cryptocurrency, and digital monopolies. Various levels of analysis are considered from popular media articles to scholarly academic research. Students work both individually and in groups to research, understand, and create presentations on the topics.
