CRMJ 333 - Immigration and the Criminal Justice System


Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisites: CRMJ 201
This course provides an overview of the immigration issue in the United States, with a special emphasis on the process by which officials handle immigrants and asylum seekers who unlawfully attempt to secure passage into the United States. The course also examines the political, legal, economic, and social challenges in developing a comprehensive policy on immigration. Special emphasis is given to examining the phases of handling immigrants in the crimial justice system.
