PSCI 361 - Law and Legal Process


Credit Hours: 3

This course serves as a general introduction to law, lawyers, judges, and the civil legal process. Through lectures, assigned reading, and class seminars, the course will broadly survey the American legal process, including the nature of law, judicial organization and the instruments of judicial power, civil proceedings and civil law, the work and training of lawyers, the recruitment of judges, and the nature of judicial decision-making.
