CHEM 302 - Instrumental Methods


Credit Hours: 4

Prerequisites: CHEM 300  or permission of the instructor
A study of traditional analytical instrument designs with emphasis on the physical and chemical principles involved in chemical analysis. Proper treatment and manipulation of analytical data is also emphasized. In the laboratory, students will obtain skills in the 3 major areas of instrumental analysis-chromatography, electrochemistry, and spectroscopy. 

Requirements/Required: Required of all chemistry majors pursuing a B.S. degree as well as B.A. chemistry majors pursuing the clinical chemistry specialization; elective to others.
