CHEM 410 - Biochemistry II

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisites: CHEM 409 or permission of the instructor
An in-depth study of nucleotides, lipids and carbohydrates at the molecular and energetic level. Emphasis is placed on the relationship between structure and function, metabolism and biosynthesis of these biological molecules. The course will highlight current applications and developments in Biochemistry.

Requirements/Required: Required of all chemistry majors completing the biochemistry specialization or the clinical chemistry specialization and recommended for students wishing to complete a pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-pharmacy, or pre-veterinarian curriculum.
