AERO 101 - Heritage and Values of the U.S. Air Force Credit Hours: 1
Heritage and Values is a survey course designed to introduce students to the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and provides an overview of the basic characteristics, missions, communications, and organization of the United States Air Force (USAF) and United States Space Force (USSF). The course covers an introduction to USAF and USSF core values, leadership, military customs and courtesies, and benefits of service. Case studies and video scenarios are used to examine DAF leadership situations as a way to practically apply the concepts being taught. Communication skills are further developed through oral and written presentations. Leadership Laboratory is mandatory for AFROTC contract/pursuing cadets and compliments this course by providing cadets with followership experiences.
