MATH 208 - Mathematics for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning


Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisites: MATH 131  / MATH 106  
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to basic concepts of logic, vector calculus, linear algebra, graph theory, probability, and statistics. The course is desgined for artificial intelligence and/or machine learning class. Some topics that will be included in this class are the truth tables, algebra of matrices, eigenvalues, gradient, inner product, orthogonality, orthogonal bases, variance and standard deviation, basic linear regression, introduction to graph theory, paths, circuits, and matrix representations of graphs. Students will use numerical software packages.
