NURS 351 - Mental Health Nursing

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisites: NURS 201 , NURS 202 , NURS 211 , NURS 212 , NURS 340 , NURS 341  
Corequisite: NURS 361  

This course focuses on the nursing care of individuals experiencing mental health concerns, psychopathology, psychopharmacology and evidence-based treatment modalities to improve care outcomes. Emphasis is on legal/ethical, advocacy, mental wellness and the evaluation of support networks that would promote equitable care across the lifespan.
