NURS 352 - Informatics and Healthcare Technologies

Credit Hours: 2

Prerequisites: NURS 301  NURS 311  
This course stresses the ethical and legal aspects of nursing including privacy, security, and national safety standards related to electronic systems in healthcare. It is designed to provide students with a hands-on experience of accessing information from a variety of sources including clinical decision support tools and quality-improvement systems. Emphasis is placed on the development of clinical reasoning using of interactive and inter-professional, and telehealth scenarios. These technology-supported strategies challenge and engage the learner using simulation standards of best practice.
