MKTG 301 - Principles of Marketing Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisites: ECON 201 or ECON 205 ( ECON 205 is accepted only if student is majoring in a field outside of those offered by the Baker School of Business) Course Description: Explore the process of developing marketing strategy, the role of marketing activities withinthe firm, external influences that affect the development of marketing strategy, and basic analytical tools appropriate to marketing decision-making.
Restrictions: 3B, 2A, 2B, 1A, 1B Notes: Minimum grade of “C” or higher required for BSBA degrees.
If the student switches to a business major, then they will need to complete ECON 201 and ECON 202, and ECON 205 will fulfill a general elective slot. This course was previously listed as BADM 309.
