Cadets in their third and fourth years (i.e., those classified 2A, 2B, 1A, 1B) have a choice of how to fulfill their ROTC requirements.
Non-Commissiong Cadets
Junior and senior cadets who are not pursuing a commission will not enroll in the Advanced ROTC classes; instead, they will enroll in one 3-credit hour ROTC-fulfillment course per semester. The remaining courses may be chosen from a wide variety of classes in the Leadership Minor, leadership-oriented courses in students’ major fields, and other high-impact practice courses such as internships or undergraduate research courses. LDRS 371 - Leadership in Organizations , which is a general education course required of all cadets, will count towards non-commissioning cadets’ ROTC fulfillment courses. In addition, normally cadets’ capstone course in the major will count as ROTC fulfillment credit. Cadets should consult the Leadership Studies Department’s web page for a list of available ROTC-fulfillment courses offered during a particular semester.
