AERO 302 - Leading People and Effective Communication

Leading People and Effective Communication, a course for contracted cadets only, utilizes student’s field training experience to take a more in-depth look at leadership. Special emphasis is placed on enhancing communication skills, and why that is important as a leader. Classes will cover, organizational climate, leading diverse organizations, change management, and managing competing priorities. Communication skills are further developed through oral and written presentations. Students have an opportunity to try out these leadership and management techniques in a supervised environment as juniors in AFROTC’s mandatory Leadership Laboratory. Registration for AERO 450 (Leadership Laboratory) is mandatory for cadets pursuing an Air Force or Space Force contract and compliments this course by providing cadets with followership & initial leadership experiences.
