Notes:
- French 101, 102, 201, 202 are sequential. 201 and 202 count towards the major, after fulfillment of the general education foreign language requirement. *** Students who have completed 202 (or 204) and students who placed into 300+ level are eligible to enroll in any 300/400 level courses. FREN 301 or 302 and at least one course at the 400-level are required for the major. ****Any additional 400-level FREN course (ex: 460: internship) may be used to satisfy the gen. ed. capstone requirement. Double-majors may complete the gen. ed. capstone in French, or in their other major.

- Students must complete four strand courses, which may be completed in any order: English (ENGS 30X ), History (HISS 30X ), Social Science (SCSS 30X ), and Science (NTSS 30X ).
ROTC Course Requirements:
ROTC course requirements apply to members of the SCCC only:
- Cadets contracted or pursuing a contract should take 8 semesters of ROTC.
- Cadets not contracted or pursuing a contract should take 4 semesters of ROTC Basic and 4 semesters of ROTC fulfilment courses. Available ROTC fulfillment courses are published online annually by the department of Leadership Studies.
- ROTC courses typically carry 1 to 3 hours of credit, depending on the level. ROTC fulfillment courses typically carry 3 hours of credit. See the course descriptions for specific information.
Required For Graduation:
Required Hours for graduation are 125 credit hours plus successful completion of all RPED, ROTC, and LDRS graduation requirements. ROTC hours (credits, lectures, and labs) vary each semester by military department.
